Pocahontas State Park
Located just 20 miles from downtown Richmond, the capital of Virginia, Pocahontas State Park has been one fo the more popular parks in the state park system.  Swift Creek forms the nucleus of the park, which is centered in a wildlife management area. 

Swimming
The Pool and Aquatic Recreation Center is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Your registration for camp will include two pool days.  You have the option to spend more afternoons at the pool for a discounted rate of $3/day.   

Trails
Pocahontas boast some of the finest running, hiking, and biking and in the state.  The newest of which are the Lake View Loops 1,2 and 3 which total over 15 miles of wooded dirt trails.  These Lake View Trails circle the S.T.A.R XC Camp and are accessed just a few feet from our cabins. We will also run on the beautiful loop around Beaver Lake.
